What is Toastmasters...

Affiliated with Toastmasters International, the world's leading organization devoted to the improvement of individual communication and leadership skills.

Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization.

One of more then 8,600 Toastmasters Clubs worldwide.

The Geneva club was founded in 1997.

One-time membership fee is SF 28.-- dues are payable anually, SF 110-- or every six months SF60-- (payable at a meeting or to CCP 17-481857-6)

Visitors are welcome.

Members have the opportunity to:

  • Learn and practice techniques of effective public speaking.
  • If not of English mother tongue, hone their speaking skills in English.
  • Prepare and deliver formal speeches on subjects of their own choosing.
  • Give impromptu talks.
  • Gain speaking experience that relates to specific career needs.
  • Sharpen their listening and evaluation skills.
  • Preside as a meeting chairman.
  • Gain valuable leadership and management experience.
  • Gain personal confidence that will help them when speaking to one person or a thousand.
  • Enter Toastmasters International's Annual Speech Contest «The World Championship of Public Speaking».
