a roundabout with an Esplanade at its other side. From there we will drive to
the Parking at the Arboretum and start the hike there. We will walk along
vineyards, beech woods, the Aubonne River. There is a circular walk around the
Arboretum. At the top, the
view extends over the wooded valley to Lake Geneva and across to the Alps.
Aubonne itself is a charming old town, well worth visiting this time or
another time for its
interesting shops, church, the place du Marché and a thirteenth- to
seventeenth-century château.
