Our group is a non profit making association of amateur performers and supporters. Finances for productions are obtained through ticket revenues, sponsorships and donations from individuals and corporations. Membership fees are only used to cover the running expenses. The net proceeds from productions are used to finance future shows.
We have about 100 members with a wide variety of acting, singing and dancing abilities. Our productions also depend on many other members behind the scenes who help with costumes, sets, lighting, props and do the many other things that are needed to put a show together. Fiona Schaller's article will give you some insight into what is involved in putting on a show. We all have fun, and new members are always welcome.
